A ConFest was a combined festival and conference style of event organized for a number of years from the early-1970s in Australia by the Down to Earth organization. ConFests had a main focus on alternative lifestyles.
An early famous one was the Cotter ConFest. Another was celebrated in the Rainbow Region of northern New South Wales, and distinguished from most, if not all of the others by not being held at one single location, but decentralized into numerous activities in many places (such as Bellingen and Nimbin) throughout the region.
